Chapter 1: Introductions
In this world mankind has a common problem for survival, creatures with an instinct to kill, swarm the planets of Reathdos for thousands of years and they mainly target humans and Kreetons. These creatures are called Beastroots or Broots for short, they are dark plant like beast born from an evil tree that grows these Broots like fruits, these trees are called the Tree’s of Death. What makes these monsters so dangerous is the lack of what is known about them, for a long time it’s been only known that Broots can't be killed unless there heads are smashed or destroyed. Broots have their bodies look like there made of bark, leaves, and other plant like features, but they move and sound like beast. If an arm or a leg is removed from a Broot, it will grow it back, like roots coming out from there body’s and regenerate its lost figure in seconds, this is why a Broot can only be killed by getting rid of there head. Because of this fast regeneration ability, a Tree of Death be grow over night and spawn Broot out of nowhere, creating a massive problem quickly. The Trees of Death can grow anywhere at night, even in the sea as many ships and fishermen have fall victim to the aquatic Broots. To protective themselves humans use element crystals to fight back against the Broots, these element crystals can be use like a part of the body to control the element the crystals is named from.
These element crystals can be attached to anything including weapons expect the skin and that's as much as mankind knows of the element crystals. There so many mysteries to the Broots and elements crystals that still remain unanswered even to this day. The one’s who use the element crystals to fight against the Broots are called Slayers, Slayers are free to chose whatever type of element crystals to use and as many. Slayer that only use one type of element crystal are know as full users, they can control the crystal to the most efficient and powerful use of that crystal. Slayers that use all kinds of element crystals are multi-users not as powerful as full users but having the extra variety to balances out the differences in potential compared to a full user. There is no superior option between a full user and a multi-user, all element crystals are controlled differently through the mind of a human and Kreeton. It is unknown how but Slayers can connect to the element crystals like body parts, for example if a Slayer loses one arm, they would rely on using the other arm for everything, that is what full users feel like. For multi-users it more like having more arms and each one has to do a different task like drawing with your left hand and writing with your right at the same time. It’s not the crystals that make a strong Slayer it's the Slayers skills and dedication that makes the element crystals strong.
Slayers who risk their lives for those who need help are commonly considered heroes. But some don't seem as heroic as most people would think, for one particular slayer, a gothic more emotionless slayer is within the ranks and his name is Kyzeip, a young man at 22 years old, long dark hair, long dark trench coat, and with a strong poker face he has made his way to Evie's slayer academy a place where Kreeton’s like him can actually succeed without being discriminated by humans. as most planets in Reathdos accept the relations of Kreeton’s and humans, the Kreetons are more treated like animals for the way they look. Kreeton’s has the same physique as humans with the exception of sharp spike like teeth and small pupils without an iris, the word savage is commonly used by humans describe Kreeton’s. As Kyzeip would prefer to be a one-man slayer, the academy had a strong team system like any other slayer academy. As the other Slayers had the choice to pick their partner's Kyzeip ignored everyone and waited until only the left overs were left to be part of his team.
Immediately as Kyzeip entered the room to meet his team, he couldn’t help but notice a man in a complete suit of armor stood wearing a Kreeton style helmet with two small shadowy holes covering the eyes and a large sharp teeth design on the mouth area covering his hole whole face in the middle of the room. The man in the armor spoke: “alas the final member of our guild has arrived as now we be a true Pac, may we all fight along side with each other”. All Kyzeip can say in that moment was: “What the fuck”. Another roommate, a Kreeton with dark purple hair, tattoos on her arms and a huge guitar on her back sitting on a bed says: “what fucking era do you think we're in dumbass”. The man in suit of armor says: “truth be told eras does not matter when saviors of mankind are called Warriors or Slayer, we are all fighters with thy same goal, so let us not be disrespectful to one another”. And finally the last person in the room was another Kreeton wearing the standard battle uniform said: “so what you're saying is you're some kind of fantasy nerd that actually thinks he's a medieval knight, no wonder nobody wanted to have you on there team”. The man in the suit spoke once again: “I believe time will grow us to be nicer to each other, allow me to introduce thyself, thy name be Rolando Zee Kandle, what be thy name dark clothed one”.
As soon as Rolando said his name the others in the room looked towards him in confusion, the guy in the battle uniform said: “you have a last name, does that mean you're a human”? Rolando answered with a simple “aye”. The tatto
oed woman said: “then why the fuck is you wearing a Kreeton helmet are you trying to fun of us or you just that fucking stupid”. Roland responds: “what sharp tongue thy lady possess”. The roommate in uniform say: “I guessing he's just an idiot, the only thing I see wrong here is how he managed to sneak that mass of metal without getting kicked out of the academy”. Kyzeip said: “we can wear whatever we want the battle uniforms are only optional, you got ripped off didn't you”. The other Kreeton angrily said: “Son of a bitch, I paid 500 dolls of someone else money for this piece of shit”. Roland responded in shock: “Maxizz what say you? does thy pockets fill with the coins of others”. Maxizz responded casually: “didn't I tell you I’m a magician, making wallets disappear is my favorite trick”. The tattooed woman said: “Fucking great I can't believe I’m suck with a weirdo and a thief”. Maxizz responded: “Hey I swore to myself I’ll stop stealing once I become an official slayer”.
Rolando said: “Ha an honorable redemption to take from the path you once took, you’ve gain my respect brother Maxizz”. The female said: “hey fucking goth dude, you still haven't said your name yet, mines Increst, we only had a brief chat before you got here, so you're not missing much”. Kyzeip respond slowly with an emotionless tone: “Kyzeip, I only came here to kill Broots and nothing else, none of you have any meaning to me”. The room became quiet as a small gust of wind went down the backs of the others. Maxizz says: “well if you're half as good at killing Broots as you are with killing the mood you'll get your licence in no time, but not before me”. Kyzeip respond with: “licence or not I will still kill Broots as it is supposed to be”. Rolando spoke: “I agree with thee, one should not be demonized for doing what's right without follow the rule of the kingdom”. Maxizz says: “I think you might be over praising him tin head, don't get the wrong idea you look like a decent fighter, but not a decent slayer, you know you look like someone would sell me something illegal”. Kyzeip responds: “it hurts me a lot to be called a criminal from a thief”. Increst snickering says: “fucking called your magic ass out”. Maxizz frustrated says: “and what are you supposed to be, the great grape juice popstar slayer”. Incest responds: “Rock star slayer fuckhead, one day I will be in one badass band that will also kick ass on the side”. Maxizz says: “well let's take a quick look at this team, we have a roleplaying nerd with the wrong outfit, a rock star wannabe, a scary goth, and a talented magician, how is this suppose to be a team of slayers”? Rolando spoke: “let not appearances be the decider of victory, a team of discipline warriors shall be the decider, as the most suited for the role I Rolando shall lead you three onto the path of victory”. Kyzeip says: “Keep believing in your fantasy, it sounds you're in a world that's a hell of allot better than this one”. Rolando spoke confusedly: “I know not of what to speak of thee”? Maxizz said to Rolando: “hey correct me if I’m wrong but are you asking to be team leader, are you high, the only people you will lead is a group of basement occupying nerds”. And finally Increst gave her insult: “yeah fuckoff knight of the tin heads, you're not even a Kreeton, so you don't even know how hard it was just buy element crystals, what fucking makes you so high and mighty”. Tension suddenly rose in the room, Rolando stayed quiet for a few seconds before speaking: “thy words are not all true, I wear my helm for not protection of my face but for my identity, for as long as my fate says I can't lift the seal on my face I will obey, as for now I take whatever judgement others throw in my way, I will move on, even if no one knows who I truly am”. once again the mood of the room changed and Maxizz was the first to respond: “hey that last part actually sounded kind of normal”. Increst followed after: “guess you’re not as delusional as I thought, but you're still a massive fucking nerd, you better not embarrass us or you’ll regret it”. And finally Kyzeip said what he had in mind: “I don't care who you are or what your about, as long as we get through training neutrally as possible, I won't have a problem with you, and I mean that to all of you”.
And like that Kyzeip killed the mood once again, but in his mind Kyzeip thought to himself about what Rolando just said: “(I can't lift the seal on my face) I wonder if Roland got involved in something bad, he's only acting this way to hide his face from whatever he did, this man might either be a guilty criminal or a complete coward. I probably would not have to worry too much about this team after all, if what think of Rolando is true then he must have his own problem to deal with. Increst, from her language its clear she doesn’t hide what she's thinking, so she should be tolerable. But then there's this asshole, Maxizz, He already admitted to being a thief and what he said about swearing to himself about quitting, it could all be a lie, why wouldn't he want to try and trick me, he also said he was magician, he could be crafter than he leads on, yes I will have to keep an eye on him”.
After a brief silence Maxizz was the first to try changing the mood again, Maxizz said: “so why don't we get to know each other a little bit more, Kyzeip here's a question, are you originally from Evie or from another planet and what was your life before joining the academy”? Kyzeip stared at Maxizz with judgment but did not avoid answering the question. Kyzeip answered: “I came from the planet Skaiza and I lived with my mother for a long time of my life”. Increst said: “Skaiza, isn't that fucking supposed to be the shittiest planet of them all, no wonder you look like a trouble maker”. Maxizz said: “makes sense, now that I know you do look like you would come from a ghetto place”. Kyzeip continued to stare at Maxizz as if he was a hunter stalking his pray. Maxizz tried to get on Kyzeip’s good side by asking: “so you lived with your mother, did anything happened to your father, looking at you, he must of been a great Slayer, why else would you be here”. Kyzeip responded with: “my father was a rapist, he attacked my mother and she had no choice but to take care of me because of that. As for why I’m a Slayer, it is my own reason, not yours to know”. Maxizz was stunned, with his eyes wide open and mouth hanging down it was clear that he had regretted asking Kyzeip that question. In an instant the other members in the room realized that when Kyzeip speaks, things are goanna get depressing.
To end the awkward silence Rolando spoke: “I concur with Kyzeip, lets us not ask such Personal questions of our identity so early, let us save that for our journey down the road”. Maxizz realized what Rolando was doing and took the opportunity to change the subject and asked: “how about weapons, we can talk about what we are going to use to kill Broots right? Kyzeip you already went now let's have Roland go first this time”. Rolando without hesitation took out his big long sword from a sheath he had kept against the wall, the sword had brown crystals infused in the center, it was obviously to everyone in the room that the sword Rolando used was with earth element crystals. Rolando spoke: “thus be mine sword “Quaker” forge from earth gems and metal, the power I heel shall be not less than full”. Increst with an annoyed tone to her voice said:” if you're a fucking earth full user just say you're an earth full user, going all fancy doesn't make you less awkward to be around”. Rolando quietly put his sword back in its sheath and with a soft tone to his voice he spoke: “aye, thus shall be all”. Increst with some joy in her voice said: “check this out motherfuckers”.
Increst twisted some kind of secret switches on her huge guitar and suddenly six-gun barrel appeared, each with a coloured tip came sticking out the body of the guitar and Increst pointed the gun-guitar at all the guys in the room, immediately Rolando and Maxizz started to freak out. Maxizz panicky said: “holy shit, that's a big gun”. Rolando spoke: “My lady, thy weapon be not loaded”. Increst responds: “you two are a bunch of fucking sissies, I have the safety on, why aren't you freaking out gothy”. Kyzeip said: “I saw that coming with one eye open, why would someone bring an oversized instrument to a training academy, only two possibilities came to mind. First was the owner being a dumbass with no idea why they're here, or second is that the guitar is specially modified in some way”. Increst angrily said: why the fuck was dumbass the first thing that came to your mind gothy”. Kyzeip
responded: “after seeing a random guy in a suit of armor, dumbass was the only thing on my mind”. Rolando spoke: “what say thee”. Increst said: “fair enough”. Rolando gave up and just took the insults that were being jabbed at him. Maxizz now calmed down asked Increst the question the other guys were thinking: “so Increst is that really a Gatling gun disguised in your guitar because that would have to weigh as much a yourself”. Increst said: “I not fucking carrying that much fire power, each rifle is made for all six element crystals, it’s not as heavy as it looks, also I can switch the rifles by pulling the springs, pretty fucking sweet right”. Maxizz said: “oh so that means you’re a multi user too, it's no bigass rifle but I carried two pistols myself that can fire all element bullets”. Increst said: “two fucking pistols is that all you have”. Maxizz said: “that isn’t exactly true I do have a few more tricks up my sleeves than that, but magician's code prevents me from revealing it”.
Kyzeip said: “so you ask question but refuse to answer yourself, you're not a trustworthy man are you”. Maxizz replied: “hey man I said I can't reveal my secrets but that doesn’t mean I can't show you”. As Maxizz finished his sentence he clapped his hands and a card appeared in his hand. Maxizz said: “hey Rolando is this your card”. Maxizz threw the card about five meters at Rolando and as Rolando tired to catch it the card exploded and encases Rolando’s hand in stone like it was dipped in fast hardening cement. Rolando spoke: “by my troth I never witness such trickery”. Increst in complete confusion said: “how the fuck did you do that, was there fucking earth crystals in that card, but how the did you do that”? Kyzeip said: “it’s not that hard to figure out, Rolando just said he's an earth user, he must have triggered the element crystals in the card when he touched it, causing the effect”. Rolando with doubt in his voice spoke: “what can be done was not done by thee”. Kyzeip staring at Rolando with slight anger responds: “excuse me”. Maxizz said: “I think he means he wouldn't of turn his hand to stone, even if he wanted to”. Kyzeip said: “what do you mean by that, you couldn't have had control of the element crystal from that distance”. Maxizz said: “well I did and I can do it again with a different card, go ahead pick a card, any card”. Kyzeip starred Maxizz down, giving the impression that Kyzeip took Maxizz response as an insult. Rolando took his sword out and with a simple tap he smashes the stone encasing his hand. Roland then spoke: “let thy embers ash challenge thee next”. Increst said: “what the fuck did he say”. Maxizz respond: “I think he wants me to throw a fire card at him”. Rolando agreed with a “aye”. Maxizz said: “ok I’ll make this one a quick flash so I won't start a fire”. Kyzeip says: “you can't be serious”. Maxizz said: “Oh yes I am”. Maxizz threw the card at Rolando and like he said a flash of flame burst out of the card. Kyzeip had nothing to say, Maxizz had proved he knew a trick that should not be possible.
